I am a writer/ director with an International background who has made short films in diverse locations from the urban landscape of New York to the Caspian Sea. My directing style is highly visual and emotionally driven. I studied directing with renowned Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami whose work masterfully blends documentary with fiction.
In addition to telling true stories for clients like the Wilder Foundation and L.T.D. Farm, I make narrative films. These films have garnered multiple awards from the Jerome Foundation, MN State Art Board as well as being screened at Minneapolis / St.Paul International Festival, the Walker Art Center, and Twin Cities Public Television, among others. I hold an M.F.A. in film production and theory from Syracuse University, NY. I teach film production to adult learners at IFP / Independent Filmmaker Project MN and a film language course at Augsburg college.
As a percussionist, composer, and location sound recordist, I have worked on numerous award-winning short narratives and documentaries. I have performed with a variety of classical of classical, jazz and fusion ensembles incorporating both traditional and contemporary instrumentation.
I’m a digital native who thrives on helping people connect to the content they want to see. From search optimization to social listening to audience research, I sift through the online content clutter to ensure that your video and content investments reach the right people, at the right time.
With over a decade of experience in building websites, publishing, marketing, social media, and digital strategy, I’ve worked with clients like Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, the Walker Art Center, and the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities. To put it succinctly: I make digital content happen.
